I am pleased to be able to invite you to attend a one hour webinar on Monday 19th August at 1pm. Apologies for the late notice but we had to wait for clearance from WESTlocal before we could go ahead.
This is a chance to find out all you need to know about the 2 fixed timetable WESTlocal bus services that will be available in the Chew Valley from September 2024.
The webinar will include presentations from:
Jackie Head – Chew Valley CIC Sustainable Transport Partnership
Tom Druit CEO – The Big Lemon
Jason Freeman Operations Manager for The Big Lemon Bristol & The West
Kathryn Davis Managing Director of Visit West
Followed by a Q&A session. All Welcome
WESTlocal X91 Chew Valley Sprint is a Monday- Friday service (upgraded to a 3 times a day service), serving seven villages (rather than 3) and taking an adjusted route to Bristol to more closely match passenger requests (Imperial Park, Parson Street Train Station, Bedminster Parade, Temple Meads, Haymarket and Centre-Broad Quay )
WESTlocal Chew Valley Cat is a seven day a week service that provides connectivity between a wide range of villages and links to frequent services on the A37. It travels across the day, in clockwise and anticlockwise figures of 8 facilitating journeys to medical, shopping and leisure facilities and for 6th formers getting from local villages to Chew Valley School. On Friday and Saturday there is also an evening shuttle to a number of villages from Pensford, allowing connections from late services on the A37.
WESTlocal funding was secured by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and North Somerset Council from the Department for Transport’s Bus Service Improvement Plan. The services were bid for by Chew Valley CIC Sustainable Transport Partnership.
Anyone who attends the webinar will be able to put their questions to the panel, but if you can’t make it we will be filming the event and circulating a recording later.
Warm wishes
Jackie Head
