Volunteers’ Week

Did you know it is “Volunteer Week” this week? It is an opportunity to thank all the people here in Compton Martin who are volunteers. The Parish Council, St Michael’s Church, The Village Hall, The Compton Martin Players, The 1982 Committee, The Compton Martin Bridge Club, The Fete , Thank cake its Friday ~ all run and organised by volunteers. These groups would not exist if there were no volunteers to run them. I repeat ~ they would not exist without volunteers. A sobering thought I think.

So a big THANK YOU for all of you who have volunteered.

All these groups still need more volunteers to make sure they keep going. Something to ponder ~ are you a giver or are you a taker?
