St Michael’s

Tomorrow (Friday 6th December) ~ time to put on your favourite Christmas jumper and join us in the School Room for ‘Thank Cake it’s Friday” The last one this year! Everyone is welcome for tea/coffee, delicious cake and friendly conversation with friends and neighbours. Remember to bring your purses as we are going to try and raise some money for Caring in Bristol (caringinbristol.org.uk) £25 will provide support and care this winter for someone who needs it most including a delicious Christmas meal, care, compassion, cloths and comfort. We look forward to seeing you between 2:30 and 4:00pm

Also on Friday is our Family Christmas Ceilidh. Come and join Paul and Rachel and dance to some well known reels with Paul calling out the instructions. Its great fun for all ages! The Village Hall has been transformed and looks very Christmassy (Thank You Village Hall committee!) St Michael’s is providing a delicious finger buffet and Rachel and Paul are kindly donating the money raised to St Michael’s, to help refurbish the toilets in the School Room. The response from Compton Matin residents has been very slow, so please try and find an hour or two in your diary to come and support a great evening. You are welcome to turn up in the evening and pay on the door (£10 per adult, free for children under 16 years)  Many thanks.

On Sunday 8th December Rachel’s Valley Voices will be presenting Christmas in Song” at 3:00pm in St Andrew’s, Blagdon. An ideal break from writing lists in the lead up to Christmas.
