We are continuing our journey through Lent. How are you all getting on? Still running? Still ignoring the biscuit tin, the chocolates? Well done if you are persevering and don’t beat yourself up if you have given up! We all do at some point. Two bible verses to remember :-
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew Chapter 9 verse 26
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew Chapter 7 verse 8
This Sunday, Sunday 17th March, is our monthly Family Communion with children’s activities. The service will be taken by Canon John Reynolds who has recently moved into the village. We are delighted to welcome him back. The service starts at 10:00am and everyone is very welcome. There will be tea/coffee after the service and an opportunity to chat with friends and neighbours.
On Easter Saturday, March 30th, I will be preparing our Easter Garden. I would welcome some helpers who will also have an opportunity to make their very own little Easter Garden. I will be in the church from 10:00am until 11:30am. Let me know if you would like to join me.
Our next church service in St Michael’s will be Sunday 31st March which is Easter Sunday. This service, a communion service with children’s activities, will be taken by Rev Mark Hutchinson. We look forward to welcoming him back to St Michael’s and thanking him for supporting us so well during the vacancy. The service will start at 10:00am and will finish with our traditional Easter Egg Hunt. All are WELCOME.
There are services throughout our new Benefice of Chew Valley South and you are welcome to go along to any of them. The services can be found in the Benefice Link ~ benefice.bcmu@send.mailchimpapp.com
