Chew Valley CIC Sustainable Transport Partnership

1. Assessing demand for a minibus to and from the X91 from East Harptree, West Harptree, Compton Martin and Ubley. We need people to complete this form: https://forms.gle/uhLUQAy8ptSsMMfPA
In response to issues people have had trying to book WESTlink rides to the X91, we are considering setting up a minibus run from East Harptree & Compton Martin (where reasonable demand was evidenced in the ‘Getting to work on Time’ survey) to Bishop Sutton to ensure there is a predictable and reliable route to the X91 and a return journey back to these villages when the bus returns. This could also have a pick up from West Harptree and Ubley if there is sufficient demand.

We want to gather a REALISTIC sense of demand for this minibus link before we apply for funding and set this up.

If you think you would like to travel on the X91 between now and September (at which point other solutions may be possible) even if only once a month, then please can you complete this form ASAP to enable us to move forward.

Depending on the outcome of this little survey we may not set up the link, set it up for some days and not others or set it up as a Monday to Friday service.

Here is the timetable of the X91 (please allow 10-15 minute variation when planning onward journeys due to traffic conditions):

A.M: Bishop Sutton:7.35 Chew Stoke:7.40 Chew Magna:7.45 Hengrove:8.00 Temple Meads:8.15 Haymarket (for Bristol Bus Station and Broadmead):8.20 Centre (Broad Quay):8.25

PM: Centre (Broad Quay):17.40 Haymarket (for Bristol Bus Station and Broadmead):17.43 Temple Meads: 17.50 Hengrove:18.05 Chew Magna:18.15 Chew Stoke:18.20 Bishop Sutton:18.25

We anticipate a cost of £2 per journey per passenger unless we are able to secure full funding.

All information collected in the survey will be stored securely on a database that can only be accessed by those who are administering this service. If you would like this information removed at a later stage please contact chew.valley.sprint@gmail.com.

2. Cycle with Confidence training: dates confirmed
Please see the attached details of these Adult Cycle with Confidence trainings to bus stops on the X91 route when secure bike storage is in place. As well as people from Compton Martin, East Harptree and Stanton Drew, this might be of interest to people who are in villages near to these locations. We need to fill all the spaces asap and to secure a booking people need to email chew.valley.sprint@gmail.com ASAP.
